ARTUR NEUMANN

Entrepreneur

I'm Artur Neumann.

I don't have to work anymore. But I want to.

I live on passive income from my own software and investments, between Germany, Spain and Thailand. Here is my story. With numbers instead of claims.

Numbers instead of claims

  • 6 figuresexit: sold my shares in an e-learning platform

My most important milestones

  1. 1988born

My family came to Germany with almost nothing. We lived in emergency housing. As a child I wore clothes from the used clothing collection. My parents taught me early that hard work and thrift are the only tools we have. I took that to heart.

  2. 5years old

Sat at a computer for the first time. Wrote my first lines of code.

  3. 12years old

Taught myself web design and graphics software.

  4. 15years old

Got my first paid client job: a website for a nutrition consultant. 1,500 German marks. I coded and designed it all myself. The site still exists today.

  5. 18years old

Built one of the largest German websites on personal development.

  6. 20years old

Finished high school and started university right away in October: communication design at the renowned Folkwang University of the Arts. On the side I worked as a freelance web designer for lawyers, tradespeople and other clients. I also built armdruecken.com, at the time the largest German website on arm wrestling. I coded and designed it all myself and sold digital products and arm wrestling tables through it.

  7. 24years old

Bachelor’s degree in communication design with top grades. Paid for a 4.5-month trip around the world with the income from armdruecken.com: USA, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Myanmar.

  8. 25years old

Joined the advertising agency GREY in Düsseldorf. In 2.5 years I went from Junior Project Manager Digital to Senior Account Executive. I was responsible for national and international projects for corporations like Allianz, Mars, Red Bull, Boehringer Ingelheim, Harting and HiT.

  9. 27years old

Started my own business on the side as a sole proprietor and founded BUCHKODEX, a book agency for entrepreneurs. My first client was Alex Fischer from Düsseldorf. For his book “Reicher als die Geissens” I personally did all the project management and the design. It has sold more than 500,000 copies to date and is one of the most successful nonfiction books in Germany. It was also the first free-plus-shipping book in the German-speaking world, shortly after Russell Brunson’s “Expert Secrets” in the USA.

  10. 28years old

Quit my job for good and went self-employed full time. BUCHKODEX grew to 600,000 to 800,000 euros in revenue a year. It needed a lot of staff. Lesson: margin beats revenue.

  11. 30years old

Invited by the European Parliament to Brussels. Antonio Tajani, then President of the European Parliament, invited a handful of influencers from Europe to learn how the Parliament could communicate its work better. I was the only one invited from Germany.

  12. 30years old

Built an e-learning academy platform with a business partner.

  13. 31years old

    Founded Neumann Marketing GmbH.

  14. 32years old

Sold my shares in the academy platform. A six-figure exit. The platform still exists today with thousands of paying customers.

  15. 32years old

Tried my own software company: project management software. I burned almost 2 years. I made a profit, but very little. My mistake: I sold a vitamin, not a painkiller. More efficiency instead of more revenue, in a brutally hard market against competitors with many times my capital. Lesson: sell painkillers, not vitamins.

  16. 35years old

Started a crypto coaching business and built my own DeFi software at the same time. I developed the software in a short time with AI. 240,000 euros profit in the first year. More than 1 million euros profit in total with coaching and software. Solo. Zero employees.

  17. 37years old

Solved the OpenAI Super Bowl Easter egg. One of the first 1,000 developers worldwide.

  18. 38years old

Started the Neumann Privatier Club (in German). Every week I show members in a compact way how I invest my money, which opportunities I see in the stock market and how I use AI to make better investment decisions.

  19. Today

Today I live between Germany, Spain and Thailand. I did taekwondo for 13 years and was already a trainer at 14. Black belt. My model: maximum margins, minimum complexity, maximum automation, maximum freedom. I prefer to work alone or with a few really good people. I believe we are in the biggest economic shift of our lifetime. And that every solo entrepreneur with AI can do more today than whole companies could five years ago.
